Personal Biography

Dr. Nathaniel Saed received his D.M.D. from LECOM School of Dental Medicine and did residencies at both St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, as well as Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he saw diverse patient populations with complex, urgent dental needs. During his D.M.D studies, Dr. Saed conducted dental research as a first-year dental student and published a study in the scientific journal, General Dentistry, and was selected to present research at Hinman Research Symposium in Memphis, Tennessee. He was also awarded the ‘Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding Performance’ in his residency program. Dr. Saed is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, New York Dental Association and American Dental Association.

Making dentistry fun for patients is what Dr. Saed loves most about pediatric dentistry. His naturally gentle approach and ability to connect with patients makes dentistry less fearful and adversarial.

Dr. Saed’s experience with esthetic dentistry has made dentistry rewarding by transforming numerous smiles of children damaged from trauma to the mouth. The enthrallment and joy noted from his patients after their smile restoration is the most meaningful aspect of his “art of healing.”

Dr. Saed has noticed patients he has connected with look-forward to visiting the dentist. In addition to performing high-quality work, Dr. Saed values education and prevention-based habits to optimize oral health on a community level, as he lives the philosophy that “prevention is the best protection.”

Helping his pediatric patients overcome their personal dental fears inspires Dr. Saed. In his final weeks of residency, after completing an extensive treatment plan for a previously fearful patient, the patient was in tears after realizing it was their final appointment together.

Dr. Saed is a native of Highland Park, Illinois and of Iranian immigrants who always supported his pursuit of becoming a dentist. He is trilingual in English, Spanish, and Farsi. Dr. Saed is passionate about sharing family time, enjoying the great outdoors, basketball, discovering new restaurants, running in central park, hiking beautiful upstate New York, diving into new non-fiction books, and discovering new restaurants.
